EUROETHICS OverviewEUROETHICS is an extension of the Euroethics Health Network (EHN), a standardised, labour-dividing European information and database network on biomedical ethics. From 1996 to 1999 the European Commission supported the "Establishment of a European Database Network" through the BIOMED-2 Programme. With the help of this funding, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden established the Euroethics Health Network, that will now be extended to new European partners.
National databases have been joined together into the unified European Database on Medical Ethics EUROETHICS. The database currently comprises over 11,500 documents (currently searchable via www.dimdi.de).

Special Topics - Value added information productsThe partners of EURETHNET are developing value-added information products on normative aspects of the life sciences. The section 'special topics' contains summaries of the scientific, legal and moral aspects of the most current issues in bioethics. Brief introductions in debates and legal documents will be given for Europe and different European countries. Those who want further information will also find links to relevant legal documents.
